We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations for this critical access hospital. The CFO advises on and shapes the financial roadmap for this hospital, ensuring that all financial planning aligns with the Hospital mission, goals, and long-term strategic objectives. Located in the beautiful mountain town of Pagosa Springs, this hospital offers the unique opportunity to serve a rural community while working in a mission-driven healthcare facility. As the only hospital and EMS service in Archuleta County, we value innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the CEO.
  • Lead and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, revenue cycle, materials, biomed and financial reporting.
  • Develop and oversee short-, mid-, and long-term financial planning and forecasting models.
  • Ensure alignment of financial strategies with the Hospital’s strategic initiatives.
  • Provide clear, effective communication and training to staff regarding budgeting, reconciliation, and overall financial literacy.
  • Present financial reports, service line analysis and other financial matters to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Assess and advise on complex financial and operational issues with a strong strategic and analytical approach.
  QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an executive senior-level financial leadership role in a hospital setting (critical access or rural hospital experience required).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, service-line analysis, and long-range strategy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with all aspects of CMS requirements including, without limitation, cost reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and educate staff.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to think both strategically and analytically in a complex healthcare environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity and commitment to compliant financial practices.
  COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This Hospital offers the following compensation and benefits for this position:
  • Standard work week is four ten-hour workdays (exempt positions often require more commitment of time to perform executive level work).
  • 260 hours of paid time off per contract year.
  • Health insurance benefits, life insurance and disability insurance are available to full-time employees.
  • This Hospital offers two retirement programs:
    • Mandatory social security replacement plan in which the Hospital and the employee each contribute 6% of earnings to a 401a retirement plan subject to I.R.S. contribution and compensation limits and five-year vesting; and
    • Employees may voluntarily participate in a 457 retirement plan.

The Accounting Manager works under the direction of the Director of Finance as the leader of the Accounting Department. They manage monthly and annual close, serve as primary liaison to outside auditors, oversee accounting operations, monitor key activities, and mentor and coach staff. In addition, the Accounting Manager assists the Director of Finance with budgeting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and cost reporting. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Mentors and coaches staff, workings with Director to hire for openings as needed, and actively manages team quality and performance.
  • Ensures timely monthly and year-end close performed in accordance with the department’s standards.
  • Monitors the hospital’s internal controls and other processes as related to accounting, including identifying and working with Director of Finance to ensure policies and processes are aligned.
  • Oversees key processes within and without the department including payroll processing, inventory counts, tax remittance, 401(k) remittances
  • Assists Hospital Directors in the analysis of monthly results and responds to ad hoc requests for information.
  • Liaises with all outside auditors (e.g. third party auditors and government agencies) to ensure such audits are completed appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains the integrity of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers and reviews monthly adjusting journal entries.
  • Supervises and oversees all cash management functions.
  • Assists Director of Finance by providing data and preparing reports in support of budgeting, FP&A, financial reporting, and cost reporting.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA preferred.
  • Experience leading and working with a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Critical Access Hospital experience a plus!
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum experience must include ONE of the following:
  • Three (3) years experience at a public accounting firm serving hospitals, OR
  • Five (5) years progressive experience in hospital accounting roles, OR
  • Ten (10) years progressive experience in non-hospital accounting roles.

Full-time, permanent, benefited position:

  • Onsite in Tomah, WI
  • Day Shift, Variable, 7am – 6pm

- Monday – Friday; will include shifts as early as 7am or as late as 6pm

- 32-40 hours per week;

- Holiday and weekend on call rotation required.

  • Primary role will be in-patient with Acute Care
  • Post Op and Emergency Room Coverage as needed
  • Potential outpatient coverage should inpatient load not support inpatient hours.
 

JOB SUMMARY:

The practice of physical therapy shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication and demonstration of leadership to address the needs of patients and their families, as well as to foster a positive working relations hip among professionals and ancillary staff. This person may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults and/or senior patients and will have the knowledge and skills to care for the patient and developmental needs of these populations.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists as needed. Reassesses patient’s functional needs and adjusts care plan as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcome.
  • Performs comprehensive patient evaluation, including tests of muscles, nerves, joint integrity and functional ability.
  • Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care and consistent with current PT Practice Act in treatment areas which include but are not limited to Acute Care floor, Rehab Services gym, treatment rooms, and aquatic pool.
  • Performs instruction of patient, family, staff, student or intern with consideration to physical/developmental age, ability/readiness to learn, cultural/emotional religious/social barriers. Uses diagrams and/or handouts as necessary to facilitate the learning process.
  • Delivers age specific care to pediatric and geriatric clientele dependent on their growth, development, and mental age/capacity. Responds appropriately to physically and mentally challenged clientele.
  • Directs the practice of support staff in order to achieve the patient’s functional goals.
  • Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff in order to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Promotes and contributes to a positive, problem-solving environment.
  • Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and guidelines, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Documents evaluations, treatment goals and plans. Regularly updates documentation and maintains all required prescriptions and signatures.
  • Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
  • Provides direction and leadership to staff, students and new graduates. Acts as a resource to promote physical therapy within the community.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and observes proper ethics.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in regards to the computer documentation of patient cares and any other related computerized patient information/documentation.
  • Keeps co-workers up to date with any changes in the care delivery process on the Medical/Surgical floor.
  • Coordinates the quality improvement projects related to inpatient physical therapy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis for Quality Improvement projects.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Completion of prescribed courses in accordance with minimum essentials for Physical Therapist schools as prescribed by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the AHA required.
  • Current licensure to permit to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin.

Skills/Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent human relation skills as demonstrated by the ability to interface positively with all customers and employees.
  • Must acquire the knowledge and maintain established competency levels to perform essential physical therapy practice.

  SUMMARY: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is part of the primary care treatment team. Impekkable/HealthTech is looking for a seasoned Hospital Collector | Claims & Denials Specialist to join our team and support our managed hospitals. • 100% Remote, Permanent, Full-time • Must have hospital complex claims and denials experience • ZERO micro-management – Must be able to work independently and stay on task SUMMARY: This role is responsible for capturing reimbursement for hospital billed claims and denials that are a zero balance. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of hospital insurance collections/claims/denials experience and possess a strong knowledge of Commercial, Third-Party Insurance Accounts, including but not limited to Medicaid, Managed Care, and Other Government payors. They must also have an in-depth understanding of payor contracts to include rules and guidelines governing payor collection activities and be able to “work” accounts in a computerized automated environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Researching and analyzing accounts for assigned clients and payers to diagnose reasons for underpayment/non-payment of claims that have gone to zero balance • Evaluating appropriate actions needed for correcting the account. • Maintaining track of all identified issues and errors. • Identifying, reviewing, and interpreting third-party payments, adjustments, and denials. • Facilitating first and second-level appeals to payers. • Recommending changes to revenue collection based on analysis of recovery trends. • Negotiating with third party payers to recover funds for grossly underpaid claims. • Validate denial reason and ensure coding is accurate and reflects denial reasons for accounts that are under or partially paid and written of to a zero balance. • Exhibit expertise in billing. Generating rebills and corrected claims for additional reimbursement. • Responsible for correcting, completing, and processing claims for all payer codes where additional reimbursement is identified. • Analyze and interpret that claims are accurately sent to insurance companies for additional reimbursement. • Perform follow up with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial insurance companies on unpaid insurance accounts • Process appeals online or via payer portal or fax. • Generate an appeal based on the dispute reason and contract terms specific to the payor. This includes online reconsideration. • Follow specific payor guidelines for appeal submission. • Research contract terms/ interpretation and compile necessary supporting documentation for appeals and reconsiderations. • Ensure proper account documentation, which is clear, concise, and includes all pertinent information. • Understand and apply the terms of client’s contracts. • Escalate immediate and appropriate payor trends and issues to management which impact cash, aging, and processes. • Maintain or exceed 95% of established productivity goals and quality standards (30 to 50 accounts). • Utilize company software in all account follow-up activities and promote working toward paperless environment. • Ensure professional verbal and written communication with facilities, clients, and co-workers following established guidelines. • Obtain management approval when necessary to communicate with external clients about internal processes and procedures. • Follow and maintain patient, account, and client confidentiality always. • Adhere to HIPAA and Compliance Policy Guidelines. • Follow timekeeping and attendance policy daily.   • Onsite in Thermopolis, WY
The Staff Accountant assists the CFO with daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions, and provides support to the Finance Department in other areas as needed.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with monthly financial close by preparing journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Facilitate and complete other month-end close procedures
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
  • Maintain monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Assist with all aspects of AP functions
  • Assist with all aspects of Payroll functions
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Prepare schedules for annual tax return
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget
  • Assist with preparation of cost report information
  • Ability to read, analyze, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to write policies and procedures that conform to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Other projects as assigned
  QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Prior experience in accounting preferred
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • BLS required
  OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Able to establish the patients expected outcomes based on nursing diagnosis and implement patient care interventions according to plan of care. Evaluate the attainment of expected outcomes and effectiveness of patient care. Participate in patient and family teaching.
  • Perform pre-op and post op calls/visits with patient.
  • Creates a sterile field with the ability to monitor and control the environment.
  • Able to function and participate in PAT process as well as assist in ambulatory where needed.
  • Organizes and pulls cases according to doctor preference cards. Provide equipment and supplies based on patient needs. Performs sponge, sharps and instrument counts according to policy and procedure.
  • Physiologically monitor patient during the surgical procedure and throughout the perioperative experience.
  • Serves as patient advocate.
  • Prepares specimens for mail out according to Hospital policy and procedure.
  • Is able to function in PACU area according to policy and procedure, Endoscopy as circulator or scrub. Functions appropriately in trauma situations, understands the role.
  • Current on conscious sedation procedures and able to function in this role under direct supervision of a physician or CRNA.
  • Administration of all medications (I.V., PO, SQ, etc.) and biologicals in accordance with State Law.
Maintain current on conscious sedation procedures and able to function in this role under direct supervision of a physician or CRNA. The above duties are intended to describe the key aspects of the work performed by individual(s) assigned to this position. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive listing of requirements relative to the position. Therefore, the employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Current Wyoming Registered Nurse license in good standing required.
  • Previous experience in the OR is required.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in surgery preferred.
  • Able to function in a circulating role, recovery room, endoscopy, minimal scrubbing and in central sterile.
  • Must possess communication skills to relate to the public in person.
  • Demonstrate good organizational abilities
  • Seeks proficiencies in computer applications, e.g. word processing, spread sheets, database,
  • presentation, and project publication.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSURES, REGISTRATIONS
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (obtain ACLS and PALS within one year of employment)
  • TNCC preferred but not required
  • CNOR preferred but not required
